Thirsty Thursday: Oatmeal Cookie

I don’t know what it is about oatmeal.  For some reason I find myself around it a lot these days. Oatmeal stout as the beer of choice last week.  Oatmeal for breakfast.  Hell, even oatmeal cream pies for dessert last night.  As I was looking for something to write about today, I saw this recipe and had to share it.

It’s called an Oatmeal Cookie, and while it might be a little less than manly for most of us, if you need to impress a girl, this might do the trick.  Oatmeal stout plays a big role in this one.  I suggest you get a six pack and drink the rest of them.

You’ll need:

Ice cubes
3 ounces molasses
3 ounces ruby port
1 1/2 ounces cinnamon schnapps (Gladschalger is recommended, but seeing as how it has gold leaf floating around in it my guess is that it’s pretty damn pricey)
12 ounces oatmeal stout

Fill your trusty cocktail shaker about halfway with ice cubes, and add everything but the stout.  Shake well.  Strain the mix into small glasses and top with the oatmeal stout.  Serve and enjoy.
