Scott Wright is the design engineer who coordinated efforts to remove 3 dams on the Rogue River and one on a major tributary: The Gold Hill Dam and the Elk Creek Dam (2008), the Savage Rapids Dam (2009) the Gold Ray Dam (2010). The combined dam removal efforts opened up 157 miles of habitat on one of Southern Oregon’s biggest salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon producing rivers. Scott was born and Raised on the Rogue, and provides a unique personal history of his family’s connection to the river.
