She Who Must Be Obeyed and I are in Montana (Bozeman headed to West Yellowstone today) for one of those short, pleasure more so than business outings.
Yesterday’s cast and blast was the perfect way to spend Father’s Day – Jake and I shot clays in the morning and then fished the upper Gallatin in Yellowstone and just below (above the runoff muddied Taylor’s Fork).
Holding true to form in this cooler and wetter spring and early summer so far, the Gallatin is running high and take-your-breath away cold.
We have an interesting set of meetings on tap for this evening in West Yellowstone regarding a project we’re seeking sponsorship for and if the weather forecast holds, rain, clouds and cool should keep the Firehole and some other waters in the Park very fishable over the next few days.
Haven’t had time to process and load images though will have some interesting stuff up over the next few days.
May your Monday morning coffee be as tasty as our locally roasted Montana brew today.
