The spoils of Hyalite Creek. This feisty native cutt was the biggest fish of the day. It started pouring rain (and when your rain jacket is older than you are, this is sometimes a problem) shortly afterwards, but the fish kept rising. They all fell to a size 12 black Elk Hair Caddis tied by yours truly. It didn’t look like anything on the water, but they still ate with gusto.
I love small streams.
