After what seemed like an inordinately long week, I had to get out of town yesterday. The original plan was to drive down to Between the Lakes on the Madison, but as soon as I got there and saw the hordes of people on the water I changed my mind. Shoulder to shoulder fishing is not for me.
Back up plan? One of my favorite spots on the entire Gallatin River. If someone asked me what my “home water” was, I would probably have to say this one stretch of river.
