Why I Fish: Life is Best When It’s Pointedly Simple

in Why I Fish

A good friend and mentor often says ‘life is best when it’s pointedly simple’. He’s an intrepid fly fisher who has gone back to fishing only his own flies using fiberglass rods and he swears he’s having more fun chasing brookies and panfish that tarpon in Belize.

Though he’s one of those business people who seem to succeed at whatever they touch, he’s scaled back his scope of work activities to focus on a few things that he really enjoys doing to have a bit more time to fly fish, enjoy his family and garden.

Me thinks he may be on to something.
