The Don’t Feel Quite So Bad You’re Not Fishing Post

I just came back into my office after being out for a couple of hours; as it’s pushing 70 here in Bozeman this afternoon (hello Mr. Runoff), my windows of course were left open.

Just as I was mumbling about what a pig my suite mate was, I turned the corner into my office and was met with a blizzard of papers blown from my desk, across my office, and out into the hallway.  Several very carefully organized stacks of work had been blown from my desk all to hell across the room.

After less than joyfully shoveling the the papers into piles, I just glanced at the local weather site and note that at our massive Gallatin Field (the airport) winds are sustained in the 30 mph range with gusts pushing 50.  Normally Bozeman isn’t all that windy, and we didn’t even score a wind warning post (brown on the map) from the weather guys today.

I’ll bet the lower Madison out of Beartrap and the Yellowstone over in Paradise Valley feel like wind tunnels today.  There, doesn’t that make another afternoon stuck in the office feel a little better?
