gyff-logoThis weekend will see a much anticipated event happening in the Gallatin Valley.  Greater Yellowstone Flyfishers is putting on their 5th annual Trout Bum Fly Swap.

The event is a chance to get some great deals on new and used fishing gear.  Registration for selling used items closed yesterday, so don’t bring anything to try and sell.  Brand new gear from the shop will be on sale as well, on deep discounts.

This year the event is not being held outside, partly due to the snowy weather this week.  Instead, Greater Yellowstone is hosting everything inside their shop.  Hopefully the weather will be nice enough for this precaution not to matter!

This is an event that we eagerly look forward to every year.  Aside from the incredible deals on gear, the swap is a great chance to meet some local fly fishermen and network a little bit.  Who knows, you just might find a new fishing partner.

The swap is being held today through Sunday.  It opens at noon today and runs till six.  Over the weekend, the doors are open from 8 to 6.  We advise that you get there early to scope out the best deals.  The good stuff always get bought early.

Greater Yellowstone Flyfishers is located just north of Four Corners at 29 Pioneer Way.  The shop’s phone number is (406) 585-5321.  See you out there this weekend!
