Though there’s lots of snow still hanging around in the shadows around town, today’s bright sunshine and 65 degree temp. makes it truly feel like spring might truly become a reality in the next few weeks.
Yeah, I know we’ll still have a snow or two (or more) here in town before it’s all said and done, but damn it was nice enough today to zip down the windows on the Jeep and jump over the pass to Livingston for a late lunch at Mark’s In & Out.
We’ll have to do a Weekly Wonder feature on Mark’s once they’re officially open this year so you can get to know them a bit better. Opening for the 55th year this spring, Mark’s is still serving up absolutely great burgers at scandously cheap prices, the best tots any of us have ever tasted, old fashioned fountain type drinks, and locally made Wilcoxon’s ice cream in all sorts of tempting variations.
My wife – the one who must be obeyed – says the Moose Tracks milkshake is the best on the planet, and yes, she had it with her burger today after sneaking out of work a bit early.
If you’re visiting the area this season, make sure you put it on the list to dine at Mark’s at least once. Note how we captured the power lines and the Castrol lube shop sign in the picture today to give you the true flavor of outdoor dining in Livingston….
