About Time on East Rosebud Creek

GG_HR4645600DSforCW

On Thursday (14 December), Montana’s only House Rep. Greg Gianforte, introduced House Bill HR 4645 to finally place East Rosebud Creek under the protection of the Wild and Scenic Rivers system; matching similar legislation filed in the Senate in March by Montana Senators Daines and Tester.

We’ve been among many who have been pushing for this since 2009, it’s long past time to finish the race here.

See local coverage here in the Billings Gazette. (One might think that Gianforte’s home newspaper of record, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, might actually provide objective coverage here – they continue to be handicapped by their absolute disdain for the Congressman.)

Wild and Scenic Rivers 50th Anniversary Celebration

Kudos to American Rivers for their #5000 MILES OF WILD campaign, celebrating the upcoming 50th anniversary (2 October 2018) of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.

Their goal of spearheading a drive to add 5,000 new miles of wild rivers next year is an ambitious one, and spot on.

Git ‘er done.
