Another interesting adult beverage recipe came in over the transom this week from part-time guide (and full-time fire fighter) Les in Salt Lake City –

…My wife just got back from a trip with girlfriends to Jamaica and brought this back with her, along with a bottle of Appleton Estate’s Reserve Rum. This was the group’s favorite cocktail of their trip and has forced a search for good coconut water, SLC not being known for its coconut plantations.

I’m not sure it’s guide boat fare, but these have been damned tasty sitting around the fire pit on afternoons that have been pushing 70 degrees lately.

With the warmest weeks of spring and early summer just around the corner, this might be worth sharing on Chi Wulff…

‘Nuff said.

1.5 ounces rum
1.5 ounces coconut water
1.5 ounces pineapple juice
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Generous lime squeeze

Garnish: Lime wheel

Pour all ingredients into an ice-filled (rocks) glass; stir.

Garnish with a lime wheel.

Enjoy.
