Montana Hoot Owl Closures Rescinded on Several Waters

in Water Worth Saving

As we ease into fall and a cooler, wetter weather cycle, several of the formerly closed or ‘hoot owl-ed’ rivers and waterways have reopened or had their restrictions rescinded.

The Clark Fork closure from Cyr Bridge FAS to Tarklo FAS reopened on the 3rd, as did the Holter Res. Fire Closure.

A passel opened back up today (many tributaries of the Blackfoot), including:

  • Belmont Creek
  • Copper Creek
  • Cottonwood Creek (the Blackfoot trib.)
  • Gold Creek
  • Landers Fork
  • Monture Creek
  • North Fork Blackfoot

Hot damn. And see the remainder of active closures here.
