If you missed Part 1 of the interview, find it here.  Brett Seng of ShuttleSnap is talking about his new idea to make booking a river shuttle much easier:

What areas are covered by ShuttleSnap right now?

We are expanding weekly, right now ShuttleSnap covers approx. 400 miles of river throughout central and southwest Montana, this week we will implement the regions of  western Montana; next month we begin our exploration to regions around the country.  We aim to accommodate every region of the U.S. that supports our vision at ShuttleSnap.

How much does it cost to book a shuttle through the app?

Absolutely free.  The prices of shuttles vary from river to river from the shuttle provider, however we offer our a free convenience to our end-users.

What kind of feedback have you gotten from both shuttle companies and customers since you’ve launched?

Our #1 goal is loyalty.  It’s my personal crusade to ensure that the value and quality of the platform fits the needs of both the shuttle provider and user.  We are learning everyday what that means and how to achieve a better performance as our platform evolves.  The feedback has been incredible, the loyalty makes us work harder and harder every time we create and in three weeks, we’ve had 100% of our shuttle requests make it down river and on time.  We are so damn pleased with our feedback and support thus far.

It’s easier for the customer, but how does ShuttleSnap benefit the shuttle drivers?

The shuttle providers are on the phone taking calls an average of 2 hours/day.  How does a shuttle company grow its business by 30%?  By taking on 30% more phone calls.  How does a shuttle company grow its business by 30%, 50%, 200% but take on less phone calls?….. ShuttleSnap.

Less time on the phone especially in intermittent cell range, the gaurantee of payment via online with direct deposits to their preferred bank accounts, peripheral marketing potentials of other ShuttleSnap providers, quick and easy admin dashboard access from any device, etc., etc.; we offer the simplicity that keeps the end-user happy and informed.  It’s using our age of technology to create simpler, more efficient way of doing business and it’s creating an appreciation with our providers for what technology has to offer.

What can we expect to see from ShuttleSnap in the future?

We have great concepts to expand on for the future, one that I’m excited about is a “traffic report” of river usage.  With the growing community of ShuttleSnap providers and users, we will be able to articulate that information into a traffic report that will allow our community to know how many boats are at a given access; that will alleviate the need to drive to the access sites to make a launching point decision.  The idea is to disperse the river traffic so we all can enjoy the solitude of what we are passionate about, our rivers.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to answer some questions regarding ShuttleSnap and we truly appreciate your support.
