Winter Trout

Shane’s dad Bryan sent me these pictures last week.  He and a co worker were passing through Big Timber and he wandered over to take a look at the river.  His new sunglasses worked pretty well when he looked in and saw hundreds of small trout in the crystal clear water.  He says the pictures don’t really do it justice, but here they are:

The pictures aren’t great, but you can see the big schools of them.  Sometimes it’s really interesting to just sit and watch fish.  When you are out fishing, it’s hard to stop and just watch.  But it’s worth your time.  

Winter water that is low and clear is the perfect opportunity to just observe…
