Fire Girl Jess (my daughter) was closing in on Albany, New York this morning on the final day of a three day run from Austin to Manchester, VT to start work next week as a copywriter for Orvis.
There’s been a storm back east that created a bit of news (Jess said it would have caused a late school day arrival in Montana but not much more).
It appears the combination of cold winter air and snow melt on the roads froze up on her spindle and wheel and literally pushed the wheel right off this morning. Nothing like a wheel coming off at 55 to wake one back up in the morning. Hard to believe that one stayed in the wheel well.
