New Beginnings

The truck got packed, goodbyes were said, final business was taken care of, and then a long ass time was spent in a rather uncomfortable truck seat.  It’s amazing how long a drive a seem when you are by yourself.  I bet I heard the same damn dozen songs at least 10 times on the hit music stations.

Driving away from Bozeman definitely felt pretty strange.  Lots of good people to be missed there.  But the closer I got to Washington the more excited I got.  An entire new life is waiting for me..  Being in a new place where absolutely nobody knows you and you know nobody is a special kind of thrill.  Driving down I-5 last night, I was taken aback by the city lights, streams of people, and the endless possibility.

So here I am in Mark and SWMBOs living room this morning, and it still doesn’t feel quite real.  Over the next few weeks I’ll be settling in, so I apologize if I miss one of my regular days here on Chi Wulff now and then during that period.  I still have some great fishing stories and pictures to share from Montana, as well as starting to get out and about here.

Looking at the forecast for Olympia for the next week, it looks about like I expected it to be:

Stay tuned.
