Another busy week has flown by in Craig. The week started in true Montana spring fashion, with a snowstorm over the weekend. Sunday’s planned Orvis Rendezvous was hosted in sub-freezing temperatures and heavy snow.
Many of the out-of-staters who traveled in for the festivities came in from guided trips slightly early, looking red-faced and rather chilled after the day out on the water.
However, not to be deterred by the weather, the rendezvous barbecue and casting competition went on without a hitch. Everyone threw on a few extra layers, grabbed another beer and enjoyed the camaraderie.
It takes more than snow to keep a beer-bound angler down, apparently.
The remainder of the week has been fairly routine. I’m working hard to stay inspired through the work days and keep eyes open for strong photo opportunities.
Detail images rule.
Days are divided between hours in the store and running shuttles during the daytime hours, and Fire Girl work the remainder of the time.
Sleep is overrated, as they say, and I’m charging hard with a few new projects. That’s the beauty of this business, creativity always wins out and, for people willing to dig, it seems there are always possibilities.
