Just back from a couple of days out and about – the One Who Must Be Obeyed and I ran down to Jackson and Grand Teton on Thursday;  we happened to catch the Arnica Fire burning in YNP just as it blew up on the morning of the 24th.  I’ll throw some more pics up of the plume when I have time to sort and process them tonight or early tomorrow; we caught some amazing views of the plume when driving back up from ‘down south’ in Jackson one evening.  There are five fires (according to the Jackson Hole News) burning in and around the greater GTNP area – the fire near Kelly really blew up late Thursday, though the plume from the Arnica Fire in YNP had blown all the way into the Jackson valley creating some astounding sun and water interactions.

More to come; we have some filming to get done today.

Good news – looks like a weather change by Wednesday with some BWO weather finally in for a few days.  Fall may come to the neighborhood after all.
