No one who has been on the Big Hole this year would be surprised to hear that the river is in very good shape right now.
Several friends and neighbors have been over this week and reported excellent days on the river on dries – Tricos early, with very strong terrestrial and attractor days. They were surprised at the size and number of fish in shallower water.
They didn’t do very well on streamers as they were fishing during the last warm spell, though heard tales while over there about decent streamer action very early and late.
Some more typical fall weather should really kick the Big Hole up a notch or two – we’re watching for those cloudy days too……
