Had a great day on the Beaverhead yesterday, I’ll have some pictures sent to Mark to post in a day or two.
The Clark Fork is going to come around here before you know it; even though the summer Caddis Fest we’ve been enjoying on the hot days will peter out, the river’s mayflies will more than make up for it. Right now in the transition window fishing is not what you’d call red hot, but there’s fishing to be done.
Before long there will be Gray Drakes, Blue Wings, Mahoganies, and Sulphers around; there are still some terrestrials making things happen once it warms up around noon or so.
The week looks pretty warm as of last night’s forecast; no clouds until Thursday and highs in the low 80s.
