The Gardner is in great shape right now. Flows are holding steady just below 250 cfs at Mammoth, which is pretty good for this time of year. Water temps have been coming up; warming, but not hot yet.

Last week’s Firehole post resulted in a flurry of emails criticizing our recommendation that the thoughtful angler will rest the river from Old Faithful down due to warming; lot’s of folks it seems consider fishing the Firehole one of the rights of passage when visiting Yellowstone.
