Have to Run to Missoula Today…..

Jake and I have to run to Missoula today for business; we’re looking for a venue to host an event over there and couldn’t get it done this weekend given the holiday. 
We left about 7 this morning and are going to keep a record of every fishable water we drive over or see between here [...]

The Bitterroot is in fine fettle these days and is fishing from top to bottom, though to be perfectly honest I’ve been fishing the Forks and the upper third almost exclusively the past week or so. 
There’s a lot to choose from hatch wise – there are still some PMDs around, Yellow Sallies, and even terrestrials [...]

The warm weather over the past week has really put a damper on the mid-day stuff, but the evening Caddis has been very good if not great. 
Flows are definitely on the drop, clarity has come around (really, it’s not a problem), and temps have been holding well. 
Clouds due today at least should help the mid-day [...]
