There will be two reasons to party in Craig this weekend.

Flows are coming down – slowly – and visibility is up to the 6 to 8 inch range, though the impressive storms that rolled out of the Gallatins and the Park yesterday will probably change that (for the worse) today.

Floating on Rock Creek, at least from a fishing point of view, is closed for the season.  The good news is that flows have receded enough to the point where wading is easier (slower flows help when you’ve got old knees like me). 
The Salmonflies are all but gone by this point, as are golden stones [...]
