The Gardner, or the lower Gardner anyway, is fishing pretty decently.  Flows have been creeping back up in the past few days with all the rain we have had, and visibility has suffered somewhat.  Still, you can expect to see over a foot of clear water.

Fish big stonefly nymphs tight to the bank for the best success.  Any big, flashy nymph right now will work well.  There is not a whole lot happening on top right now, although you might run into some caddis or PMDs in the afternoons.

To fish the Gardner to its full potential at the moment, you have to be ready to cover a lot of ground.  Walk along the river until you see a promising spot, work that and then move on.  A lot of rock scrambling is involved.  Be ready.
