Yellowstone Opening Day: Calling in the Heavy Artillery

Finally, it’s opening day in Yellowstone.

You’ve been reading our reports and others all week – it’s been warm, runoff is in full swing, and while finding fishable water is clearly possible there aren’t as many choices as opening day often presents.

Fisherfolk world wide are always searching for a ‘secret-weapon’ to improve the quality of their fishing experience, and we’ve decided to invoke the power of some friends from our past to make this day special.

Moses fits because fishing the Park for most of us who return there often is truly a spiritual thing, and we could us some help today parting the muddy waters.

Spock fits because when waters are tinted by runoff, there remains a temptation to fish one’s emotional favorites, and clearly logic must rule in selection of flies and water.  As Jake said: Fish Long and Prosper.

Elvis fits because we need a little magic today and it’s time to party – the Park is open again.    Wouldn’t mind if Ursula came along as well…..
